The Pyjama Foundation was founded in 2004 to give children in foster care the opportunity to change the direction of their lives with learning, life skills and confidence. Our educators at OSHClub Charthouse introduced the children to the work that this beautiful foundation do.
Children were shown informative videos about the Pyjama Foundation and this was then followed by group discussions and activities that allowed the children to express their understanding and to encourage them to realise that they can help and develop empathy for children in foster care.
The children brainstormed their thoughts, feelings and questions about this foundation, helping them to develop respect and awareness for others in our community.
Throughout the week the children enjoyed creating items such as; sugar scrubs, lip gloss, dinosaur fossils, hair clips, hair twisties, slime, bath bombs, bracelets and play dough to sell to the school community during lunch time. Together, they raised over $212.05 for the Pyjama Foundation. Well done team!
