Dear families, TEENClub Richmond has been cancelled for the upcoming April Holidays. As our TEENClub Holiday Program is packed with excursions and have us travelling on public transport daily, there is a significant risk of exposure to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) for our team and the children in our care. We apologise for any inconvenience but the health and safety of our TEENClubbers is the most important thing to us. We hope to be back and running TEENClub again next holidays!

Thank you,

TEENClub Richmond

About the New Child Care Subsidy (CCS)

The Australian Government is investing an additional $2.5 billion over four years to support the 1.2 million families who use approved child care. The changes will provide more support for families and be targeted to those who need it most.

When the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) commences on July 2nd, it will:

  • Replace the Child Care Benefit (CCB) and Child Care Rebate (CCR) with a single, means tested subsidy
  • Be paid directly to service providers to be passed on to families
  • Be simpler than the current multi-payment system
  • Be better targeted and provide more assistance to low and middle income families.

Your information does not automatically rollover to the new package and you may not receive any subsidy if your assessment is not completed. You must provide some new information and confirm your current details using your Centrelink online account through myGov. If not already done, you should complete this as soon as possible.

Calculating your CCS

Three things will determine how much subsidy the Government will contribute to your child care fees, these are:

  • Combined family annual adjusted taxable income(the percentage of subsidy a family will be entitled to will be based on their combined annual income)
  • Activity test(the number of hours of subsidised child care that families will have access to per fortnight will be based on the activity level of both parents in the workforce, or other recognised activity such as studying hours of paid work, self-employed work, approved training or study, and voluntary work)
  • Service type(the type of child care service a family uses for child care).

To establish what level of Child Care Subsidy you may be entitled to please contact the Centrelink Family and Parents line on 13 61 50 or to estimate what your new Child Care Subsidy might be, go to the Government’s Payment and Services Finder here. Our fee information is provided by service on this website.
